A Little About Me!
Welcome to a new and exciting year in first grade. My name is Miss Murphy and I am so excited to be a part of the St. Cajetan first grade team! More importantly I am thrilled to be the new teacher to your child! It is going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures, and I am so excited to start a great new year!
I graduated from St. Xavier University in 2011 and this will be my 4th year teaching. Previously, I was teaching kindergarten at St. Bernadette in Evergreen Park. This year is going to be another fun year in first grade!
I was born and raised here in Beverly and actually graduated from St. Cajetan myself. I am so excited to be back now as a teacher! My family and I are very close and we all have stayed close to our southside roots. I have 3 brothers, and am nearly the youngest, but I am 5min older than my twin brother. I am extremely close to my family and love spending time with them.
When I'm not teaching, you may see me running around the neighborhood, so make sure to say hi if you do! Running is one of my favorite things to do and I am training to do a half marathon next month. I also love spending time at my cottage in Michigan, with my friends, and enjoying the city when I can.
Teaching is my absolute favorite thing to do and I am so privileged to love what I do. I know this year is going to be amazing and am ready to make some wonderful memories! I am looking forward to a terrific new year!
